I must admit that at the present time, I like the ECW roster. It is sad to think that come Tuesday, the roster could be changed. ECW may not have huge names like RAW and SmackDown, but they have a very strong mid-card filled with talented, young wrestlers, and proven veterans to help get the young guys over. In truth, this current ECW roster is somewhat akin to the spirit of the original ECW. For the first time since the New ECW’s inception, I can honestly say I was looking forward to the future of the brand. That could all be changed in an instant. My only hope is that instead of losing key stars, ECW will gain others that can enhance the brand. Looking at the roster, with the likes of CM Punk, John Morrison, Evan Bourn, Shelton Benjamin, Koffi Kingston, Mike Knox, Matt Stryker, Kane, and Tommy Dreamer, I can see the original ECW in them. The smart money is on Punk being drafted, most likely to RAW, which I think is a bad move. Punk will never be as over in RAW fighting for elbow room with a loaded upper-mid card like RAW has. If the WWE is smart, they’ll draft mostly Divas and maybe the Miz away, keep the core roster in tact, and bring in underutilized workers like Super Crazy, Carlito and Jimmy Wang Yang.
I really like the ECW roster was well but I can help but think that it's going to lose some of its best talent, like CM Punk, Benjamin and maybe Burke. I really hope that ECW will get at the very least one big name in the draft.
im not sure if its me but because the young talent being given a chance ECW feels like a development brand but in a good way and mainly because the talented roster but if i was Teddy id try and improve in experience slightly maybe bring in Carlito to the main event as a face
I have a feeling that Carlito is going to either get drafted to ECW or Smackdown I would hope that he moves to ECW, but my bet is that he will move to Smackdown.

I love the Roster as well. Even underrated guys like Estrada and Mike Knox.
If it looses CM Punk in the draft - it would be ok. But the others still should use ECW as their "playground" to build themselves up.
But i wouldn't compare it to the original ECW - this is WWE's Softcore-Version of ECW. It has gotten better and better, and is now a solid WWE-Brand. Could improve in the ratings - come on people, watch this great shit!

From a ratings standpoint, yes. From a wrestling standpoint, the draft was the best thing to happen to them.
In the draft, they lost Bobby Lashley who was putting himself over more than he was the title. Had the Benoit pick played out, the title wouldn't have lost credibility, so it's not the draft's fault that they got hosed. They also lost Hardcore Holly, The Sandman, Snitsky, and the Major Brothers.
In the draft, they picked up Morrison, Benoit, The Miz, Big Daddy V, and The Boogeyman.
In my opinion, that made the brand a hell of a lot better.
