ECW, The Land of Potential?
I think they should change the sub-name for ECW to the land of potential, because thats what their holding right now. A bunch of Young wrestlers with the potential to be the best, the best in the business.
CM Punk, one of the top faces on ECW, the man that all the fans can look up to as a perfect role model. Not only that but he is a great wrestler and is one of the best technicalists in the WWE.
Shelton Benjamin, we all know his amazing athleticism and potential and its great how he can be showcased more on ECW everyweek.
Evan Bourne, aka Matt Sydal one of the best Indy wrestlers ever seen, weve all seen what he can do and how he does it. This guy is the future of the WWE wether it be the Cruiserweight division or ECW. One of the best in the WWE at the current time.
Elijah Burke, Underused, Underutilised, this man can cut a promo, crack a joke and get serious when it matters. Once again hes a great wrestler, has a great finishing move (Elijah Express) and has what it takes to become a monstrous heel in ECW. If only we could see a bit more of him everyweek, we might be granted this wish since he has been given a new gimmick.
John Morrison. The Biggest soon-to-be star in ECW. He IS the future and i can say that with passion, because i know if he stays out of trouble he will be massive one day. The current best on ECW, high flying, rough and tough and technical this guy is the future of out business. Give him a feud with HBK and you will find out what i am talking about.
ECW's roster may be short, but it is one serious force to be reckonned with. ECW's growing, it aint dying. These guys are having the chance to showcase what they can do each and everyweek. And by god these guys are awesome and one day will be WWE and World Heavyweight Champions. ECW, The land of potential.

Re: ECW, The Land of Potential?
For sure. ECW is my favorite WWE programming, and has been for some time now. Don't short credit Miz, I hated him when he first came into the WWE but the guy has improved much (most improved of 08 for me), and he's not only improving himself, but Morrison has benefited from being around him on the mic. You can tell he rubs off upon Morrison. The Miz also knows how to get under the crowd's skin better than most people in the WWE, and has natural charisma, maybe not of epic proportions - but it's there.
People are getting behind Kofi Kingston pretty quick too. He has a very likable character that could take him places. His in-ring work, while maybe not 5-star, is original and a little originality can take you places. I expect him to be built up heavily in ECW over the next year.
You've got it right though, ECW is the land of potential.

yeah it really is, although these wrestlers would be subject to so much more praise if they were to have an extreme rules match now and then

It's the Land of potential but for how long? Because with the draft coming up does this mean that ECW is going to lose there most talented superstars

Re: ECW, The Land of Potential?
Yeah, i prefer ECW now over RAW/SD - i never thought i would say (write) that..
And i really hope that the Draft doesn't shake ECW's Roster up too much.
To me CM Punk's the only one i'd like to see on another Show because he accomplished all he needs on ECW. But for the Rest of the Roster i hope it gets another 6 months to a year to keep deliver this very entertaining show.

I hope that they at least give ECW a chance to add an extra half hour, but I would prefer a full one. Then they can show case more of there superstars

Re: ECW, The Land of Potential?
Totally agree thats why I like ECW. How it is a chance for young guys to show what they got to offer. And some vets can come to rejump their career, and help the youngers guys as well (Kane is the perfect guy for that) And once they are big enough they can move on without having to get lost in the shuffle. I like every brand for it's own reason, and my reason for liking ECW is just seeing guys who might not get the chance on the other two shows get a chance to show what they got on ECW weekly.

Re: ECW, The Land of Potential?
Very good Point, Shelton, Morrison, Punk, Elijah and Sydal are all great talents. The MIZ is also proving handy and Kane as an established Main Eventer is teaching these young stars about the business and how to tell a story. I'm loving the matches ECW is putting on recently and i hope it goes on for a bit.

Re: ECW, The Land of Potential?
Indeed. I'm not sure why you didn't mention Mike Knox. Even though he's not that great, he could be built up as a strong bully heel. All they need to do is put him in a storyline rather then squash whoever he loses to at the end of a match.

Re: ECW, The Land of Potential?
No doubt about it, ECW is my favorite brand, because i know that if i tune in to see it, in 45 minutes at least 2 matches are gonna be great, because with Morrison, Punk, Shelton, Kofi, Elijah and now Evan itīs impossible not to have a good match.
They are the WWEīs "Super Roolies". itīs obvious that Morrison and Punk will be huge someday, but i really hope that the others can do the same thing.
