Surely the smart thing to do would be to work on Kofi's legs, as it would take out Kofi's high flying game & take out the possibility of Kofi using his finishing move (The kick thing he does). See i'm not even a pro-wrestler and i seem to know more about the psychology aspect of wrestling then Kingston & Shelton do. The crowd didn't respond to the work on the back either which shows how the work Shelton did on the back really wasn't that good.

Um, doesn't hurting a person's back limit them from doing much of anything? The back is a core muscle, everything from kicks to slams rely on a healthy back. Not to mention, that one of Shelton's finishers is the exploder suplex and Kofi gets all the momentum from his trouble in paradise finsher by rotating his back. I'm still at a loss to understand what it was that Kofi and Shelton did wrong.
And out of curiosity, just what kind of reaction were you expecting from an undercard match on ECW featuring a relatively new, green wrestler? The crowd was absolutely dead when both of them came out to the ring, but the fans got progressively more into the match as it went on. The crowd went from not giving a damn to cheering Kofi while Benjamin had the upperhand, in a match that lasted five minutes. What more could either of them done? What psychology aspect was the match missing?

Re: kofi + shelton
I'd love to see them have a ladder match (with some time) between these two in the near future and I think it could really help them both. But knowing WWE they'll probably just job Benjamin out to Kofi again...

Ah well, thanks to Kurt Angle, doing a bunch of moves & having an amateur background makes you a brilliant wrestler (see Shelton), and thanks to RVD jumping around the ring makes you a brilliant wrestler (See Kofi).

Do you even know the difference between a story and psychology? The STORY was that Shelton was the veteran who dominated Kofi through experience and Kofi got a lucky shot in and caught Benji off guard.
@ you thinking psychology is a story.

Lack of a botched hip toss imo.

And uhh as far as I am concerned it doesn't really matter which body part you work over as long as you are consistent. What about Michaels/Kennedy @ Armageddon?? Michaels was working the hand of Kennedy from memory... should he have worked on Kennedy's mouth because that is his greatest weapon? Not to mention 5 minutes is not enough time to work any great psychology anyway.
kennedy=god I really don't see where you are founding your criticism of shelton is coming from. You have praised his athleticism and wrestling moves and his psychology/story telling aspects are starkly underrated.
And since when does a midcard match on the C-show get reactions for working on the back?

Re: kofi + shelton
How can Shelton be underrated when there's currently a 5 page thread going on with everybody repeating themselves praising his talents?

I have enjoyed Kofi vs Shelton even if its off the radar with most fans. I was hoping they would put them in a ppv match but its not going to happen at Judgement day.

Re: kofi + shelton
Um, why do they need to throw ladders at each other to show how athletic they are? Falling off ladders isn't athletic at all, anyone can do that. And anyone can have a "good" ladder match. Bump off ladder, land on ladder, use ladder as weapon, rinse, repeat. If you want a match which demonstrates their athleticism then how about, I don't know, a wrestling match?

I think maybe you're being too harsh on Kofi...the guy's been around since what? January...he needs time to flesh out his character which I believe is what's starting to happen. I think Kofi will be huge in the near future...he just needs to start defining himself.
