I actually really like how they have the ECW Superstars on commentary now. It gives guys who aren't on the show an opportunity to show off their mic skills.

For all we know Vince might have put Adamle on the ECW announce team as sort of a parody to TNA's crappy ass announce team. I mean come on, Don West sucks major balls and he's actually been involved with wrestling for a while and Mike Tenay isn't exactly a play-by-play genius. These guys have no excuse, and I don't see a "Don West/Mike Tenay Discussion Thread" on this site. Obviously Mike Adamle is entertaining all of us, albeit in a very weird way, and even if he doesn't entertain you at all and you hate his guts, he has all of us talking. Remember folks, "there is no such thing as bad publicity." HAVE MERCY!

As far as I can tell, Adamle is not only the biggest reason to watch ECW, but the only reason. And he has me hooked. The guy is hilarious.

Pity Shelton's supreme mic skills didn't come to light this week. Its hard to outshine Adamle though I guess. I still lol'ed at him calling Kofi the second best athlete

And that's why he's there. This whole thing is obviously a worked shoot.

He flubs his first appearance on TV, destroying his credibility instantly in the minds of the fans. So, instead of paying him 6 figures to sit on the bench, why not use it as a gimmick on TV?
