What the fuck? I assume this'll be an angle. It's times like this I wish Canadians didn't have to wait until Friday to see ECW.

Re: Mike Adamle Discussion Thread
Regarding the WWE.com article: How did Adamle supposedly look "shocked" and "expressionless" at the same time?

Re: Mike Adamle Discussion Thread
WWE is reporting on it, so I assume it's a work, but it's weird how they would openly come out in the article and talk about how some fans (I don't know who) are disappointed with his commentating.

Re: Mike Adamle Discussion Thread
That doesnt sound like a work to me..but it might be since its on wwe.com i guess.
The part where they say fans are disappointed with his commentating is where it got confusing for me.

Wikipedia says..

April 29, 2008, after the show went suddenly silent, it was reported that Adamle and his broadcast partner Tazz had walked off a live edition of ECW before the main event of the broadcast began. In reality, Adamle left first, leaving Tazz in confusion, before WWE officials informed Tazz to leave the booth to cover Adamle's vanishing act. [2]

Re: Mike Adamle Discussion Thread
I don't think this is a work. I think the WWE.com story is the best they could come up with until they could patch something up with Adamle, or think of a way to write him off. They needed something to kinda answer what happened. Should be interesting nonetheless.

Re: Mike Adamle Discussion Thread
Yeah I wouldn't dismiss this as WWE trying to cover this up. Because it was just downright weird. I mean yea of course it can be a sl, but idk it just seems to weird to me.

Mike Adamle left the broadcast position right before the main event. Tazz followed him, and there was no commentary during the event.WWE.com has a story on the situation, which you can read at this link. According to the article, Adamle and Tazz exited the arena and went to the parking lot.
The WWE site plans on having a further update on the situation soon. The article also acknowledges the fans that haven't been too happy with him so far in his role as the play-by-play man for ECW. The article also deems his commentary as "lackluster." They wrote:
"It has been no secret that our traditional ECW fans have not been satisfied with Adamle’s lackluster commentary. Speculation is this could have led to the play by play and color commentator walking off during a WWE broadcast. Did Adamle and Tazz leave of their own volition or were they asked to leave?"

This is definetly a work.
