Give him time to learn about wrestling, if they offered you a shitload of money to commentate on men's figure skating you'd take it, but it would take you a while to learn about it seeing as how you'd never seen it. Fuck me he is terrible, he couldn't do scripted interviews who in there right mind thought he would be good at live unscripted commentary. Seriously if he has to do the job at some point, give him 6 months commentating on matches from backstage where he can be coached and we don't have to suffer hearing him.

If I was being paid to do a job, ANYTHING like the money he's making, I'd damn sure know the moves, the names of the characters, and their histories. I'll never get over his first on air appearance, and talking about the high flying "Jeff Harvey". If I went to a football announcing job and referred to the legendary Dan Mariano, I would expect to be fired too.

I didn't hear his commentary because I haven't seen ECW yet but, in fairness to the man, ECW is a developmental brand so even if he's as spectacularly bad as it seems from this like he is, I think he should at least be given the chance to improve before he gets judged. That is what ECW's supposed to be about for its wrestlers, so why not for its commentators too?

That being said, the announce team was the only thing left that was related to the name ECW apart from Tommy Dreamer, and Joey Styles is a brilliant announcer, so I'm not a fan of the idea of him being replaced.
