Paul Hymen screwed up by not investing well in his product and having storylines that were either stolen or storylines that didnt relate to the mainstream audience!
Vince Mcmahon took a piece of shit and made it gold by picking up ECW from the toilet bowl of bankruptcy and making it gold by making it relevant to the target audience, Paul Hymen was far too arrogant and small minded to see this, so was his old ECW troupe!
Im proud that there are visionaries such as Vince Mcmahon, men who only make mistakes on purpose!

You forgot to mention that Vince quite frankly didn't give a shit about what heyman wanted to do and what was best. You say Vince is making it gold, what gold? Fools gold? Because tbh ECW sucks badly right now. Its a mainstream OVW and produces good talent, but cmon nothing really goes on, there aren't any hardcore matches for god sakes, and D2D EC match was terrible. Heyman's a genius when it comes to booking, its Vince's shitty ego that doesn't let him run it. Now without heyman, ECW is a shell of its former self.

Give Paul Hymen the most flattering terms as much as you want, the bottom line is that his vision only led to bankruptcy, his vision only led to a bunch of teenagers becoming associated with illegal beverages and imitating hardcore scenarios!
Paul Hymen did not care about his employees, he only cared about himself, thats why there was such a surplus of injuries and thats why the morale backstage was so bad in the beta stage of ECW!
Vince Mcmahon cares about his employees as if they are his children and his beautiful vision is only leading the new and revised version of ECW to an eternal road of greatness, if Paul Hymens vision of ECW was still around, maybe then could he be undeservingly be called a genius, but since that aint ever gonna happen, Hymen should just be remembered as a has been!

Like Nolo said. If Paul E knew how to run his company, his CREATION known as ECW so well, that he had to be aided by the WWF to stay out of bankruptcy for just that little bit longer. Just shows you that you can't trust glorified hardcore companies. If Paul E managed his company so well we might still have the old ECW here today. It looked like Paul E didn't know how to manage his money/salaries properly though. You have no idea of how many cameos wrestlers have made in ECW and then dropped out saying they were not being used right. Al Snow being one of the mentionable few.
Careers in ECW were short lived only as a stage to move onto bigger and better things.

How that would be good for the business? ECW was something new in 90's and yes, it did created some great performers, but it's 2000's now. Times have changed and ECW is part of wrestling history now. It would be good if they just bury ECW and let it live in fans memories.
