Re: Supernatural Season 9
Let's use an example that's not a TV show. Let's try music as an example. There is a local band called Doolin' Rakes that I think is incredible. They are amazing on stage and it's some of my favorite music ever to listen to. Let's compare that to say... Beethoven. I don't give two shits about Beethoven. It does not appeal to me in the slightest. Yet, were I proclaim that Doolin' Rakes are greater than Beethoven just because in my OPINION their music is better, then I'd sound like a fucking retard.
Favorite does NOT mean greatest. My entire point was about the definition of greatest. Your opinion on what your favorite show is has nothing to do with greatness. You don't even have to like something to acknowledge it for it's greatness.
Supernatural is one of my personal favorite shows. I enjoy it just as much or more as I enjoy watching anything else on TV. Maybe you didn't understand this part but I am not putting down Supernatural in any way. My opinion on how awesome the show is has nothing to do with greatness.
GOAT is a term that is thrown around way too much these days. Everyone thinks what they like the most qualifies something for greatness. To be great, there needs to be a little historical context. Too many people think that just because something is their favorite, it means it should go into the category of greatness. That's not how the definition of greatness works.
