Synopsis
In the near future, giant monsters identified as "Kaiju" have risen from a portal in a crevasse beneath the Pacific Ocean, resulting in a war that takes millions of lives and quickly consumes humanity's resources. To combat the monsters, a special type of weapon is designed: massive robots, known as Jaegers, which are controlled simultaneously by two or three pilots whose minds are locked in a neural bridge which prevents the mental strain which would overwhelm a single pilot. But as the war continued on for over ten years, even the Jaegers struggle to win the war against a relentless enemy. Against all odds, the remaining forces of mankind make a final stand to end the Kaiju menace.

Can't get over why they aren't just shooting the monsters, if you can build a 25 story robot you can build tons of huge missiles to shoot them with. Would like to know the in story reason for this.

It's the right word. Jerkass.

Just left the movies minutes ago. It was pretty good, visuals looked great. Hannibal Chow was the best though

Oh and when I kept seeing stereotypical pilots I kept expecting the 2 black.pilots with some crazy giant robot.
