I've read up until the Prison in the comics, and whilst it follows the same story arcs (finding his family / Hershel's Barn / Prison)

There are some real differences, such as Shane being killed of right at the start of the comics, Tyreese was introduced in one of the first comics before the farm, Daryl and Merle don't exist in the comics.

So you can roughly see where the story is going to head and which characters will die at some point in the show, it's not guaranteed you're going to know what happens unless it's a key plot point.

Looking at the show compared to looking at the comics is like looking at something reflected in a warped mirror. A bizarro world; if you will. Actually, the first season was pretty spot on. There were some additions to the story but the main parts were the same story from the comics. The first major change was not killing off Shane early in the story.

The show has deviated from the comics so much since the end of the first season that it can't even be considered the same story anymore. There are certain things they take from the comics, like the farm, the prison and Woodbury, but what they do with the story is totally different.

To answer your question... no, readers of the comics don't know what will happen. You might see similarities but more has been changed than has stayed the same.

Re: The Walking Dead (Season 4)

A set piece has been delivered to the st an it's amazing, however it'd likely to be a HUGE spoiler

Spoiler for :
It's a mother fucking tank

I didn't read any further because i don't want to know what happens with that certain set piece in the comics / have it ruined for me.

Re: The Walking Dead (Season 4)

I can't frickin' wait for this. I just wish we didn't have to wait until bloody October for it. When The Governor finally dies:

If Daryl dies too though:
