first!

I tried watching the room, besides just funny clips from it, and I couldn't sit through 10 minutes of it.

Never heard of it. Recent?

Thinking of slamming through a Bond flick tonight. One of those urges has just come over me. No clue which one to nab. Oh, You Only Live Twice sounds like fun. I got duped the other day when I saw on the guide that You Only Live Once was on. Flipped it there; pissed it wasn't Bond. Yes, I got made a fool by my Guide. I need to rectify this mistake.

Re: General Movie Discussion Part III

Christopher Walken does no wrong. Not even in a less than loved Bond flick.

The Purge looks different. I may or may not watch. Certainly a rental choice more than anything. I like the concept of the night of crime more than I do the people being specifically targeted to one location. I was hoping for a bit more anarchy on the streets type thing while watching the trailer a month or so ago.

Watched Blow the other night. It was boring and bad. Depp was terrible.

I got "The Last House on the Left" and/or "Straw Dogs" type vibe from it. Family inside a house, threatening people come in to harm 'em. That whole chestnut.

Re: General Movie Discussion Part III

If you guys want to see a really intense Home invation movie ala' "Strangers", "Last House", "Straw Dogs" and "Ils", check out Miguel Ángel Vivas's "Kidnapped". Saw that movie not too long ago, and it's absolutely unsettling. Well filmed (camera shots are unique in spots) and very visceral, might need a strong stomach though, especially for one particular scene but overall it's not THAT hardcore. Suspense is off the charts and it's one of the better/more realistic portrayals of that concept.
