Re: General Movie Discussion Part III

Loved the movie, but I don't consider it Denzel's best movie. It would be the 4th or the 5th after Glory

Sorry for the double-post, but have anyone around here watched Welcome to the Punch? I rented it for tonight and I would like to hear some opinions

Agree about Tony Scott's shaky cam, it's unbearable. Paul Greengrass is like the only director that can use that effect well.

Re: General Movie Discussion Part III

I watched Confessions, really liked it. The cinematography throughout was superb, the whole film was just a treat to look at. Watching it on Blu Ray definitely added to it. Loved the use of heavy whites in the school, usually implying innocence but in this case being used very ironically. That was a great touch. The plot kept swerving and every time I thought I knew how it was going to end it tweaked slightly. Awesome final two scenes as well. Highly recommended.

Star Trek Into Darkness comes out next friday, easily one of my most anticipated movies of 2013.

I loved Domino, not at Deja Vu levels but believe it was great

It looks like a crappy movie from the trailer

Glad you enjoyed it. Agreed, the ending was perfectly executed and had its Oldboy vibe in. Not to mention the great performances and the score. Confessions deserves more recognition.
