Lars & The Real Girl is great, I'd definitely recommend it. Not as fond on High Nelson as others. Have you seen Blue Valentine?

And agreed on the for Only God Forgives.

Yeah I've seen it. Not a fan, had to drop it the first time viewing, the second time I fell asleep and when I finally made through it I just felt exhausted, didn't like it at all.

I think we had a little chat about asian cinema a couple days ago. The war film you asked me about...I haven't seen it. Totally not into that genre. As for a couple titles you possibly haven't seen yet I'd recommend you: The Scarlett Letter (2004 KOR), No Mercy (2010 KOR), Graveyard of Honor (2002 JAP), Millenium Mambo (2001 TW), Peppermint Candy (1999 KOR), Rampo Noir (2005 JAP), Blue Spring (2001 JAP), All about Lily Chou Chou (2001 JAP). All included in my TOP100. Give some a watch if you feel like it.

Re: General Movie Discussion Part III

What movies in your opinion should have been nominated for Best Picture that weren't up at all? Mine are as follows:

The Town
J Edgar
Skyfall
The Dark Knight & Dark Knight Rises
Wall-E
The Wrestler
Sophie's Choice
Gran Torino

among others
