Favorite Anti-Villain characters. (TV Shows & Movies)

We all know what a Anti-Hero is and there are plenty of characters of those, but what are you best Anti-Villain characters of all time? Just incase you don't know an Anti Villain is an antagonist who isn't purely evil nor entirely unsympathetic, a character who doesn't seem to deserve being cast as the villain.
I'll start off.

- Tony Soprano, The Sopranos.
- Tywin Lannister, Game Of Thrones.
- Captain Barbosa, Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl.
- Gollum/Smeagol, Lord of the Rings.
- Two Face/Harvey Dent, The Dark Knight.

EDIT: (Excuse the thread typo.)

TBH i think Tywin is a shitton more of a villian than the others( haven't seen soprano's though) the others had either weren't really villians or where 50/50. Barbosa was a bad guy in the first movie but not in the last 2. Two face was only bad guy for a little bit.

I'll go with Gollum though.

Good points, but here's why I put them there

Tywin showed his good side with Arya Stark in season 2, and he came to aid his family in battle at the end of the season, but he does treat Tyrion like shit.
You can sympathise with Barbosa because he had turned even more evil in the first movie when he and the other members of the crew took Cortez's gold and got cursed, now he'd do anything to lift the curse.
Two Face wanted to kill off cops who aided the Joker (even if they were forced to) and he wanted revenge for Rachel Dawes' death. It clouded his judgement and he went after Commissioner Gordon's family and Batman

William Fichtner's "The Accountant" in Drive Angry is bad ass. He makes that movie for me.

Re: Favorite Anti-Villain characters. (TV Shows & Movies)

Anti-hero and anti-villain are pretty much the same thing, someone who in real life would be villain but because of certain actions, they don't perfectly fit the role.

Dexter Morgan - He has the urge to kill but he murders only killers and rapists. His lust has led him to make mistakes and he has killed an innocent before, but not intentionally. He definitely fits the anti-hero description, although at this point he is becoming a lot closer to a villian with some of his recent actions.

Re: Favorite Anti-Villain characters. (TV Shows & Movies)

Travis Bickle: A military veteran and mental wreck spiraling into a grandiose plot to kill pimps and hookers to rescue a girl. Even the film suggests that American society misses the point and doesn't send Bickle to receive the mental help he desperately needs but instead promotes him in his job to daytime duty and lauds him as a hero.

Lobo: Over-the-top parody of the DARK AGEZ GRIM AND GRITTY POUCHEZ AND KNIVEZ AND GATLING GUNZ!!! era of comic books. Despite all the heinous things he does, he takes out people even worse than him. Lobo killed Santa Claus and we still root for the bastich.

Judge Dredd: He's a lunatic fascist who has dropped atomic bombs on cities.

Still the shit. Still THE LAW. He also shows a wide range of emotions and is fairly
conflicted about his duties. Appropriately enough, he's meant to be the Perfect Judge (tm) but he has been
a reformer in the system.

Tyler Durden: Revolting against a rotten system and replacing it with something worse?
