Yes and i like the fact it focus on a few cool characters instead of 20 different povs. Got episodes never feel long enough cause of that.

Re: VIKINGS

I love both series but the last 2 Weeks I have missed GoT yet have watched Vikings. Ragnar is such a cool character and I love how religion is on the show. From Rollo getting baptized to Athelstan being a monk trying to live with the "savages"

Re: VIKINGS

I like the religious aspects too. One of my favorite scenes was the monk and the others talking about their myths. Also dug the surreal RAGNAROK trip scene.

Looks like next episode we'll get more mythology and some rituals. Should be fun.

Re: VIKINGS

Just smashed through the eps so far, epic show. Have a degree in medieval studies so had the chance to read alot about the viking invasions during uni. The show is really pretty accurate for what it is, surprisingly so.

My favourite bit so far was the bit where you had the monk explaining to the Vikings why treasure ended up hoarded in the monasteries and them saying how silly this was, only to be followed by other vikings then burying all the treasure that had been taken from said monasteries so that he could use them in the afterlife, and even with a human sacrafice as a guard.

yeah. But the way the Earl did was just awful. I dont even know the name to his bald executioner guy but I hated him so much. He was just ruthless.

Tonights episode was pretty good, the ending was wow. Really shows what kind of ppl they are, glad thag Athelstan is still around though. Why does Ragnar want a son so bad when he already has one unless I missed something from this episode. Does he think his son wont grow up to be a warrior like him.

And Donal Logue from Grounded for Life is here

Re: VIKINGS

a seer told him he would have many sons. the vikings are obsessed with prophecies so the lack of sons has him stressed.

Re: VIKINGS

Donal Logue is really on a role lately. From playing in that crappy sitcom to having roles like that hard-hitting psycho sheriff in Sons of Anarchy and now as king in Vikings. Episode 8 was pretty interesting to say the least.

Re: Who watches Vikings?

I would if they would run a marathon to get me caught up, or put it on Hulu. I keep missing episodes.

Who knew pretty little Travis Fimmel would grow up into a manly manly man.

Ainsi sera, groigne qui groigne.
