I was sadly mistaken. That sideflash nonsense was ridiculously stupid. There is no excuse for killing Locke in a dingy hotel room off-island and not allowing him to have anything to do with the final season. The cast reunion party in the afterlife church... ugh. S1-S5 led you to believe the show was going somewhere with all of it. Nope. It was just a bunch of random shit that went nowhere. It's like they spent so much time building this great story that they had no idea wtf to do with it once they got there.
The same thing is happening with TWD. They've got a huge hit show on their hands and they aren't sure what they want to do with it. Which has led to very inconsistent writing from one ep to the next. It's gotten to the point that I watch it just as much to mock it as I do to enjoy it. Just the same as I did with Lost.
Yeah... these shows are totally similar lol... you got that right.
But at the same time it kinda did have a lot to do with him, i mean the whole way through people were questioning whether he knew where it was going and how it was going to end or if they were just winging it the whole time.
It he has an ending set before the show began then surely that ending would have been used with out without him on board ? that is probably what pissed me off the most that all this shit that was going on in the show had not greater thought behind other than lets make it happen and try to explain it later.
And the exact same shit happened in fringe amazing stories weird going ons and then final season rushed and shitty explanation that you just know was forced to tie it all together.
but agreed the locke thing and the shitty happy reunion was horrible.
