I don't like them. I don't see a reason for them to exist. Watching the originals I had never thought about Vaders backstory and if I had it would have been better to let my mind come up with something over something concrete which I didn't care for. If the star wars franchise is to exist, set it in a galaxy away from the current one and come up with an original story. It's a huge universe with a lot of potential so use it.

Because they're terrible? Because the acting is on the school play level? Because the writing was rushed and ridiculous? Because Hayden Christensen is the worst cunt ever? Because the special effects were horrible? Because those movies are an insult to the entire business?

Even in my early teens when Phantom Menace first came around I didn't like it. All 3 prequels were kinda ok-ish at best for me then. I simply didn't know better but it was only later when I got more into film making and writing that I realised what pieces of shit they really are.
