Re: Game of Thrones: Season 3. TV Series Discussion. NO BOOK SPOILERS...NONE
What I saw was a young woman who somehow tamed the mighty Khal with little else but the power of her tits, then stumbled her way through 2 seasons on the fluke of her last name and magical flameresistant birthpower, all the while we have guys like Jorah falling over themselves to remind us again and again what an amazingly magically unique snowflake she is. If I ever hear "WHERE ARE MY DRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGONNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNS??!!!?" again, it'll be too soon. I don't fault Emilia Clarke, I'm just saying I don't buy into the cult of personality the way that Jorah, the Dothraki and viewers alike have.
Jon has a much more identifiable backstory, and is not as in-your-face about it as Dany is, but he's just too damn whiney all the time. The likes of Jeor Mormont and the Halfhand are instantly effortlessly more charismatic than Jon. When he ran off to try to join Robb's war, it should have played as a piece of tragic heroism, but it came off more as "sulky kid throwing his toys out of the pram".
This is all just opinion, bien sûr
