Yeah, I saw the show first, so have the actors in mind when I read, for which I am glad.
Jaime is my favourite character by a mile.

Cersei, Sansa (seriously), Jaime & Davos are my favorite characters.

(Book) Stannis too.

Are you show-watchers feeling sorry for Theon Greyjoy?

McQueen doesn't like show Stannis?

I had heard nothing of this before

I don't dislike him but hes obviously different than in the books. Hes kinda whipped by Mel in the show and in the books I don't 100% think he trusts her, he just knows he power is a means to an end and that is really mostly what Stannis is about. The hard choices and sacrifices to do what he feels is right. I think the show has gone off that a bit with the character. Doesn't help the one creator seems to think hes the bad guy.

No amount of orphan killing merits castration.

Indeed. Also, he's totally misguided. He was just doing what he did because he was desperate for acceptance from the Greyjoy family. He still deserves serious punishment for what he did, but this is going too far.

Theon hasn't made anyone suffer to the degree that he's suffered. He should've been quickly executed and have that be the end of it. This sick bastard tying him up to an X and cutting off his parts isn't even doing it as punishment, he's doing it because he thinks it's fun.

Reading the wiki reveals even more of just how sick Ramsay is.

Those Ironborns that were with Theon at Winterfell? The ones Robb made an offer of peace to? He flayed them all alive.
