I was just saying I'd love to see some Joffrey/Ramsay interaction.

Joffrey's probably more detestable IMO, he has no redeeming qualities whatsoever. Ramsay is probably more sadistic, but I'd say he's smarter and more skilled too. I'd say Joffrey would do a lot of what Ramsay would do IF he could do it, but he's so much of a coward he gets other people to do it for him. Ramsay's funny as hell too. His letter to Balon Greyjoy was GOAT.

Still, there's a clear difference between them. Joffrey just likes body count, he wants people dead. Ramsay likes slow, methodical, mental breakdowns of people through psychological and physical torture. When Sansa tells Joffrey after Ned's death, "you promised to be merciful", and he says "I was. I gave him a quick death". As warped as that sounds, it's kinda true. He could've had Ned burned alive or something like the Mad King did to his brother but he got it over with, with one stroke. If Ramsay was king he would've skinned Ned alive and then used his skin as a cloak.
Yes, but that's precisely my point. If at that point in time Joffrey was older, near Ramsay's age, he could have done it exactly like Ramsay would, or even worse. At that point his sadistic personality was still underdeveloped considering his young age, it has not reached its full potential yet. My point is that Joffrey can get way worse as time passes on. I believe his sadistic trait can evolve even further.

Of course this is just a matter of opinion, nothing really serious. And yes, as of right now, Ramsay is worse than Joffrey. Imagine Ramsay as King. lol

I know this an innocent off-handed comment, but can you and others please refrain from saying this in this thread? It's a type of comment that comes up a lot.

Why is it annoying? Some of us are reading the books as well as watching the show, and even though it's a little more redundant the other way around, I'd still not like the books to be "spoiled" on me as well.

Not only that, but it also detracts from the TV show.. there's the other thread if you want to discuss similarities to the books, but I feel this thread should be devoted only to the TV show.

Jon snow is 14 when the books starts but he turns 15 like 60 pages into the 1st book. Its either before he sets of for the wall on the journey to the wall he turns 15.

Ramsay is more sadistic. Guy has no self control and no one to act as buffer to him. At least with Joffrey you have Tyrion to challenge him, and Tywin to send him off to bed. And even Cersei at times tries, but largely fails, but at least tries to reign him in.

With Ramsay he's left to his own devices.

Yeah but it's still a bit strange, feels like the book is targetted towards teenagers (it might be I don't know). I mean, Danny is 12 ? Wtf ? And she fucks Kahl Drogo at that age ?

I think the biggest mistake GRRM has made has been the ages of the younger characters, something he himself has realised. Didn't he try to do the timeshift around book 4 to try and compensate a little? (I haven't read that far yet, but I've heard about that). The ages as given in the book are just too young to be believable, I've always taken them to be the result of some Westerosi "time isnt the same length there" handwaving, for the sake of my suspension of disbelief.

Well I guess the ages won't be too big of a deal if I start reading the books since I have an image of what the characters look like e.g. Emilia Clarke as Danny, when I read she's 12 she's still subconsciously 21 or whatever she is in the show.

How's Jaime Lannister perceived by other GoT watchers ? He's by far my favourite character but I can see why people would dislike him (prior to him saving his lesbian bodyguard from the bear).
