Eh, the game changed enormously. Stannis/Mel/Davos know of the threat to all humanity. People besides just the Night's Watch (and Bran and co.) are taking action. That's quite an enormous event.

Seriously? People losing limbs are game changers? Look things have happened to certain characters, but in the larger context, the struggle for the throne hasn't changed at all. Everything is where it was last season, assuming you could see Robb's defeat early this season.
epends what you want from the season. They could have gone with a give everyone his moment kind of thing

Keep blackwater the same to keep Tyrion GOAT moment with the wildfire but bring in the chain that was left out of the series to have more ships destroyed then tyrion fight off the soldiers who make it to shore and Stannis give up without Tywin and the Tyrells coming just pushes tyrion a bit more due to his awesomeness. But keep renly alive then Renly and the Tyrells take the throne So now Joff is dead and Renly on the seat

Only for melasandres demon thing to kill him the day after he takes the throne so king of the north Robb and mort powerful man in westeros now fighting for the throne only for Robb to be killed in the same way by the Freys so now Tywin takes the throne because hes the most powerful man in westeros while stannis (still the true heir) still rebuilding forces.

3 Tv series 4 different kings more action

(im not saying that would be better btw i think that would suck donkey balls but i can see why people want less talking more action.)

Hell yes.

Honestly, I'm not sure you understand those characters because both of those events for Jaime and Theon are massive game changers for those characters.

yeah I think this season was definitely overall stronger than last. last season has 2 marvelous episodes, but there were some very weak plot threads - dany in particular suffered. (blackwater and what is dead may never die which I thought was particularly sublime)

also need more bran stories. rat cook/10

nothing to see here...

I liked this season the most, except it did lose focus at times. When they stray from the plot and characterization of the books, that's when it's at its weakest.

Yeah, I thought this was probably the best season, but ironically it also had the highest number of weak episodes. It started really slow. Didn't really pick up until Dany burned Kraznys Mo Nakloz.

Season 4 will be better. My favourite scene in the whole series is coming up, as well as a few of my other favourites.

What everyone really wants for Christmas:

I'm am starting to get pretty mad at how the show is writing Stannis. He's stubborn and headstong but they're writing him off as weak willed, especially around Mel. I truly think the creators of the show don't understand the character, or just know something we don't know. Nothing bad to say about Dillane's performance but... yeah.

He ain't no bitch.
