This is exactly why i love this show. New episode was okay, not great but not bad either. Troy was brilliant as always but i feel like they don't know whether to make him a complete idiot or just cute and naive. Abed was lost in this episode but he had a great line about the show. Jeff & Britta was just meh. Looking forward to see who is going to play Jeff's dad.
Britta has been meh for a long time IMO. I generally like pretty much everything with Jeff in the last two seasons...was okay in this one.
Decent episode, better than the first. Some good one liners and felt more like the typical community. They have to keep Britta and Troy separated though, don't think they go well together at all
Episode was very good. It wasn't hilarious or anything but you know that isn't always the point of this show? Abed's line about the show itself was great. Jeff's Dad storyline has a lot of potential. Still not feeling Troy/Britta but we'll see. Like Rush said my worries about them over-exposing the Dean were pretty much put to rest with this episode so that was good but again, we'll see how they do with it. The Halloween elements were done really well too. Felt like it would have been right at home in the last season and I enjoyed it a lot.
Location: Golfing with Stephen Hawking, he lied about his handicap. Didn't need a golf cart though, I just sat in his lap.
Re: Community Season 4 Discussion Thread
Enjoyed the episode, moreso for the basic structure and potential developments such as the ending scene with Jeff. Humour wise the show has definitely had better half hours but there were enough laughs in between the overall solid plot for it to be better than last week's episode. Abed's line was terrific and I'd forgotten about Chang saying the reverse of what Pierce said. Gilbert is someone I'd like to see appear again, albeit in brief cameos. There's something about Esposito that makes him strangely fit so well into Community. Second the relief at how the Dean was handled here. Given one scene that produced a laugh without over-exposing him.
Brilliant episode. I watched it again today and picked up on a bunch of jokes I missed the first time around, which is typical with this show. There's so many hilarious jokes delivered so quickly or subtly I don't always pick up on them with one viewing.
Not sure why we're comparing Community with Parks, but for what it's worth I'd say I enjoyed both episodes of Community s4 more than the last two episodes of Parks, although I love both shows.
