Every now and then I'll watch an episode of Community that just doesn't click for me. Unfortunately this was one of them. The last episode I didn't completely feel was 'Urban Matrimony and the Sandwich Arts', which coincidentally was also after a lay-off (and an episode that I enjoyed more on re-watch).
I wasn't sure what to make of the Abed TV stuff. Some of it was pretty funny (Dean as Leo), and I liked the idea. Maybe there was too much going on, and the fact that the Troy/Britta stuff didn't really work probably amplified that feeling. Although "Why does this feel good?" almost made up for any negative feelings on my end.
The wrap-up of Abed TV, in typical Community fashion, pulled the episode together really well. The Winger speech inside the head of Abed inside the head of Sitcom Abed as a Community Baby was probably my favourite moment.
Everything with Jeff was hilarious. From punching Leonard, to the dance with Dean, and the ultimate conclusion of Dean moving in next door. Annie's prank (of moving everything but the stapler so that the Dean would think that they moved his stapler) was adorable and actually getting a pay-off at the end was brilliant. There was quite a lot to love, despite not liking everyting. And I'm pretty intrigued by Kevin's Changnesia.
Oh, and how could I forget Dean's introduction of "Follow me to-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o the Hunger Games!".
