Default Star Wars Universe

Didn't see any others specifically for everything related to Star Wars. I got this excited just now while watching the latest episode of the Clone Wars cartoon. I know this exposes me as a fanboy, but I can't help it. Did anyone else watch it? I like a maniac when I got to see Maul and Savage square off against Darth Sidious. Best episode of the series, and a moment worthy of having been shot for a movie.

Until Disney completely screws up everything related to Star Wars, I am going to give them the benefit of the doubt. Are there any other fans out there who have watched the movies, read the books, and want to get stuff off your chest about it? Or want to discuss in general what you want to see from it?

I can't stand the new Clone Wars cartoon, the CGI is just pure shit, the Tartovtsky cartoon was 1000 times better.

I need to catch up on Clone Wars. That show is VERY good and about as good a Star Wars show as you would expect, especially using the Prequels as its setting time period.

In a way I envy you. If Disney goes and writes a bunch of new stories that conflict with what has occurred in the canon of books already written, I will be pissed. But guys like you who have never read the books or can disassociate them from the movies won't be affected, and would be able to enjoy them more. I wish I could do that if the worst happens.

I can't imagine a Star Wars storyline going forward without Mara Jade.

Kind of like LOTR without Samwise Gamgee.
Like the Dresden Files without Murphy.
Like Hawaii 5-O without "Danno".

It just doesn't seem possible. I hope Disney comes to their senses.

I just caught up on Clone Wars and HOLY SHIT!

The last two episodes were Un-God-Fucking-Believably awesome!

I give this new Clone Wars a lot of credit. The CGI is a bit off (I don't like the character modeling) but they've done some really cool things with their stories and characters.

The 2D Tartokovsky cartoons look great, and are fun little action cartoons, but I don't feel like they added that much in terms of story beyond establishing General Grievous. The CGI show has balls and really takes the show in directions one might not expect. Not everything is a hit (The D-Squad stuff was stupid) but they've hit more than they've missed (Cad Bane, Savage Oppress, The Darth Maul resurrection, giving personalities to the Clones, & even Ahsoka Tano who I thought was going to be a huge bust).
