Haven't seen Django yet, but I know i'll get around to watching it eventually. Like all of Tarantino's films, it's always been a question of 'when' and not 'if'.

Like Bubz alluded to, Tarantino has a knack for compiling wild soundtracks for his movies. That's one of the biggest things I look forward to when it comes to him.

Loved Django, Christoph Waltz, Samuel Jackson and Leo Dicaprio made that film for me and I would watch again for just those three. Very upset when Waltz was killed as I felt he could've been kept alive.

I do feel everything after his death and Candies' was completely unnecessary and I felt that Quentin just dragged the movie out for the hell of it and it suffered just slightly.

The big shoot out should have occurred right after Waltz was shot, that event would have sent Django into a rage seeing essentially his best friend get murdered. And it sets up the shoot out perfectly, all that other crap about him being sold and shit was pointless especially since he escaped and went back to the house. Itserved no purpose.

Other than that obvious flaw it was still a great film, I'd have to say the KKK scene with the hoods was one of my favorite scenes aside from everything with Leo and Jackson. It was just so random and hilarious.

In my opinion, here is the best use of the music he has done.

The ost is also awesome like usual.

I would have to put this in my top 3 Tarantino films. In no particular order, Pulp Fiction, Django Unchained, Kill Bill.

Rewatched Django and Basterds. Gonna say Django was better. Basterds tends to drag in some spots, way too much dialogue in some scenes. Django never really stops like that for too long.

The thing about that scenes is the damn dialogue, the idea of extending the dialogue to increase the tension of the crowd because they don't know when the scene will explode, so is just suspense, wich is highly impressive thinking that you can't focus only in the dialogue because is fucking useless, is almost a Hitchcock mecanism.

Obviously after the first time this effect is less efective because you know where the dialogue ends and begins the action
