Re: TV shows you have gone off?
The Simpsons.
My God, The motherfucking Simp-Sons.
Let me explain my issue with this show and it's something that started out from the very beginning and has been getting worse and worse and worse. Marge is always fucking right.
ALWAYS FUCKING RIGHT.
No matter what she does, she's always portrayed as being in the right.
Throw Homer out of the house for going to a stag party? She's right. Emotionally blackmailing her child into taking medication he objects to? She's right. Using her children as emotional blackmail tools when Homer manages the country singer? She's right. FUCKING OVER Homer's chance to win a million bucks from Mr. Burns? She's goddamn right.
She's always portrayed this way. And it's gotten more and more unbearable. She's this hyper-Christian prude and her character always seems to take prominence over others. She's portrayed as being rude to everyone, being religiously intolerant, forcing her views on her fucking children - and the writers still try to make out that this is the right way to behave!
Awful character and an insult to the show. She's why I gave up on it.

Re: TV shows you have gone off?
CSI Miami, This was before it was axed, The Episode where Ryan was in a Tornado, like literally in it, flung into a car, and up and ready to fight crime a couple of hours later.. Was too much for me.. Not even a scratch on him.. Stopped watching after that, then I read it was cancelled, not surprised, also the writing of Callie and Eric's relationship was shoddy, one season they were head over heels in love with each other, the next they barely interacted, then they were talking again, then ignoring each other.. arggh.. no wonder it got axed with such shoddy writing..
Criminal Minds, Idk why actually, Around the time Emily was brought back from the dead, just for her to up sticks and leave again! Point in un-deading her was?...
Neighbours, Aussie soap, Just stopped liking it, Always been a Home and Away (rival Aussie soap) person..
UK X-Factor, Just sucks in general now, Joke Contestants, Crap Judges like Chav-Tulisa, Banshee Audience! Lack of Actual Talent, If I want to watch a singing show, I'll watch The Voice..
& I'm starting to go off Dancing on Ice, Its becoming too Samey for me..
Thats all I can think off for now..

The only instance of her being worse than Marge was in the 'restraining order' episode. And even that doesn't compare to Marge trying to force Bart to be a Protestant after he converted to Catholicism or - and this is my favorite - running over her husband intentionally and still being treated as the victim.
Unbelievable. Try to murder your husband and have the rest of the episode dedicated to how 'mistreated' you are and have the guy you tried to fucking murder throw you a big party to 'make it up' to you.
Just totally immoral and all the worse for being played straight.

Pokemon: I don't like the Black & White seasons.
RAW: Haven't watched a single episode for months. I read the results and stream the PPVs.

Re: TV shows you have gone off?
Halfway through Fring season 4 when I stopped watching (plan on going back to it eventually, even if only for walter XD)
Can't stand watching the simpsons anymore
HIMYM - Like many other people, I just watch for the sake of watching it and also want to find out who the mother is
Big bang theory - they changed the characters too much!

Re: TV shows you have gone off?
Office USA - Just became completely aimless after a few stellar seasons. The biggest example of a relationship stagnating a show.
Family Guy - It was never hysterical but it at least used to care about its characters and storylines and maintained a consistently funny tone throughout each episode. Now it's just a sketch show with poor punchlines.

Re: TV shows you have gone off?
About Family Guy, when they do the Brian/Stewie segments it atleast makes the show tolerable. Anything involving the family usually sucks the life out of me.

Surprised at this too. I've just gotten into Homeland. I enjoyed it throughout, but it's only by episode 5 of season 2 that I became completely addicted. This show is the very epitome of a slow burn.
As for the OP, my biggest abandon has to be Lost. I was hooked on that show for 3 seasons. Then, started losing interest when they introduced the ethereal element. Once it became clear that they were writing this show on the fly, and that they were tacking on to J.J Abram's vision just for the sake of ratings, that's when I gave up.
