Re: Apocalypse (from X Men)
Even Stryfe kicked his ass all over the place, so I think Apocalypse's strength is a little overrated. His morphing powers and immortality make him far more deadly. And he doesn't come close to matching Magneto's powers, X-Men Omega proved that. Still one of the X-Men's best foes, but nowhere near the most powerful.

you are correct! i meant more in the sense of BAMF rather than him actually being a god. but simply flicking Juggernaut across multiple states was the shit haha

Re: Apocalypse (from X Men)
Onslaught was pretty badass, I stopped reading not long after that but didn't they bring Onslaught back years later? I recall a friend of mine saying they did but not sure.

I don't know what they are gonna do, but I thought it was obvious that Xavier didn't die. When he was trying to teach the students that it was possible to transfer yourself into another body or whatever, they showed that test subject body at the very end.

Magneto was the first mutant I thought of as one who could beat Apocalypse. Magneto is still primarily limited to metal, and his "control" over other things is much more limited. Still, it's an immense power. But while he can obviously use his power over standard enemies, he couldn't just control the iron in the blood of say - Thanos or Galactus. Which raises the question - does (should?) Apocalypse be beyond what Magneto is capable of? Apocalype is kinda like the Marvel version of Darkseid - his power levels are all over the fucking place, and he has limited appearances, so it's hard to get a good grasp of what he should be capable of. Wolverine has been written at a variety of power levels, but he has so many appearances in comics, you can find a reliable average. One minute he's getting knocked out by someone like Mr X, and the next he's taking punches from the Hulk. Sorry, but if you're taking punches from the Hulk (multiple ones at that) and even laughing as Spider Man punches you, then human level opponents should be no threat to him. That's why I laugh when people ask "Who'd win in a pure fight - Batman or Wolverine?"
Anyhow, I still put Apocalypse and Magneto below Thor/Silver Surfer level.

Re: Apocalypse (from X Men)
Why do people think Apocalypse is the Marvel version of Darkseid? He isn't, Thanos is

This. Apocalypse is a mutant, albeit a very powerful one.
