Default FILM OF THE YEAR 2013

Like title says, either keep a running total of the movies you've seen or list what you believe are the films of the year.

FILM OF THE YEAR 2010

FILM OF THE YEAR 2011

FILM OF THE YEAR 2012

2012 was one hell of a year, can 2013 top it?

IMO, 2013 looks a hell of a lot better than 2012.

My expectations are extremely low for MoS. It being a loosely adapted "Birthright" makes me want to throw all my money at it and love it, but Snyder directing it brings those expectations down again.

I really enjoyed The Hobbit, but I will not be surprised if Desolation of Smaug is the best of the trilogy. I think it'll be the only one worthy to hold in the same regard as the LOTR films.

Only thing I can think of hurting DoS is if the whole movie is everyone getting to where Smaug is and then ending it.

For me it's definetely Django Unchained. I now that in USA has already been released, but in Europe it comes on January 18th, so a little to wait now

Django Unchained (although I'll probably count this as a 2012 movie based on the fact it was released in America)
Only God Forgives
Place Beyond The Pines
Zero Dark Thirty
Pacific Rim
Gangster Squad
Man Of Steel
The Hobbit part II

Those are my most anticipated that I know of. My favourite films of 2012 were ones that I didn't know about before they came out, so that'll probably be the case again this year.

Imo it was a really weak year for american cinema, unless Django, Passion and Zero Dark Thirty are the three real awesome (the firs two probably will be between great to masterpieces). I'm late at my sawing of movies from 2012, still needed to see the Hsien, Straub, Johnnie To, Kitano and Bellochio ones among others. So probably there will be no Hollywood movie in the top ten and i can't remember the last time that happens me.

About 2013, i have some more faith, specially because of the Gray, Malick and Mann movies

But the best is NEW Godard movie in 3D

I thought the ending of 2012 was pretty great, and the Avengers and TDKR were great blockbusters.
