Re: FILM OF THE YEAR 2013

Only movies I've seen from this year (I think) are World War Z and Despicable Me 2. WWZ was a fun film tbh, if you ignore the plot holes that is. One thing that almost ruined the experience for me were 2 women behind me in the cinema basically pointing out every little plot hole. It really annoyed me. Despicable Me 2 was very fun, but that was to be expected really. Want to see Pacific Rim, if only for the robots. Also want to see RIPD. That I reckon will be a fun movie to watch.

So far, Pacific Rim and The Conjuring. A great horror movie after a long time.

Part of me shouldn't be surprised asdf loved Spring Breakers. Getting a Showgirls type defense vibe for his reasoning.

You suck the blood of the afflicted.

There are a lot of similarities in the vision both movies portray of America, the reception of both is equally funny in the terms that most of the positive critics of Spring Breakers talk always about the girls

But yes, even if i love Spring Breakers, Showgirls is in another whole level

2013 has been a shitty year for movies so far

I don't know if its just me but 2013 has been a pretty shitty year for movies so far. I have personally enjoyed maybe 2 films this year. After a very strong year at the movies last year this year has been a huge letdown and I doubt it will pick up in the fall. Hollywood needs to take notice of these flops and start putting out better quality films.

What do you guy's think???

Actually they do yes some directors are lucky and get creative freedom but mist studios do jive in wanna recycle the same predictable plots over and over again.
