See more. Come back to me.
BTW those trashing Kevin Costner, I highly recommend him in Mr. Brooks and No Way Out. He is more than passable in both. And if you need convincing that the guy is a good filmmaker, see him flawlessly execute a Western in the classic tradition with Open Range (the best since Unforgiven, and it deserves the comparison). There are top performances from Duvall, Bening, Gambon and Luna.

Open Range was good, but not comparable to Unforgiven. Costner has always been a bit overrated, but then again he really doesn't get high ratings from most people anymore and with good reason, which is why I didn't put him on my list. I do like him in a few films though, like Mr. Brooks and 2000 Miles from Graceland. He should play a villain more often.

Tone is difficult to gauge over the net.

I've never seen 3000 Miles to Graceland. The synopsis reminds me of the recent thing Oldman attached himself to: Guns, Girls and Gambling. He sure can pick some stinkers.

Re: Overrated actors and actresses
I didn't think people rated Costner as a great actor? Neither with Kate Hudson.
Costner stars in two of my favorite sports movies in Bull Durham and Field of Dreams. He's not bad in Hatfeild's and Mccoy's i geuss. But he did a lot of forgetful stuff in the 20 years in between, excluding Dances With Wolves.
I remember Hudson being really good in Almost Famous but has done shit since then.

Are you kidding? I hear(d) people talk about Costner all the time. Field of Dreams, Mr. Brooks, Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, Dances with Wolves, The Untouchables, The Guardian, JFK..maybe it's just a midwest thing but people around me growing up were acting like the was Steve McQueen or Marlon Brando or some shit.

Re: Overrated actors and actresses
Probably just midwest. Although he did have a pretty good run in the 80's

Re: Overrated actors and actresses
I just realized I own quite a few Kevin Costner movies on DVD. Now I feel kind of hypocritical.
