Sitcoms about Blue Collared Families
I don't mean this in a racist way but I noticed that arnt really any sitcoms about lower class familys that are black. When you think of blue collared family shows Malcom in the Middle, Roseanne, and Married with Children come to mind. What about the Cosbys? I never saw them complain about a lack of puddin pops in the fridge.. and Will Smith? well, he left his poor family in the slums of Philidelphia and moved to Bel Air

That's because who ever would make that series would be called racist and accused of stereotyping. What about everybody hates chris?

Re: Sitcoms about Blue Collared Families
I immediately thought of Good Times and Sanford and Son. Those were made decades ago.
Also...THE WIRE. That's not blue collar though, that's poverty level. ...and it's not a sitcom. |
Re: Sitcoms about Blue Collared Families
I think there are, they're just on the "black" channels.

Re: Sitcoms about Blue Collared Families
Tracy Morgan had a short lived sitcom where he was like a gas attendant or something like that

Also, Sanford and Sons and Good Times were both way before my time so i'm not surprized I forgot them. |
