Well that was amazing. It was visually gorgeous..not just the special effects or the locations but I mean the actual film quality looked incredible. If thats a cinema screen version, god knows what the blu ray would look like.
The story ran well, it didnt tire or bore or stay too long, the fighting was great and it had lovely teases for future events ( lotr ) I didnt see it in 3D as I hate it as a format.

Just got back from the cinema and I must give this a 9/10 rating. Spectacular in parts, this is a shoe-in for Best Special Effects! It also caters quite well to the purists, which, fortunately I am. The complaints of it being too long are in my opinion unfounded as I could have sat through more. I don't know if my love of Tolkien is clouding my judgement or not so would welcome the thoughts of others. What did you guys think?

Yup, it was really odd to begin with it looked sped up and TVesque, However it was amazing for the fight scenes and made Golem look like a real creature.
