Peeping Tom is so good. Shame it got overshadowed by being released the same time as Psycho.

I find 2001 to be the most boring movie i've ever seen. And i've seen The English Patient.

The English Patient. 2001 is great, but it is overrated imo.

I think you guys are missing the biggest surprise of the entire list with The Hustler being at #3. Paul Newman is the man!

Kubrick in general is overrated as fuck, Great director. One of the best? get out of here.

2001 is amazing but i belive Eyes Wide Shut and BarryLindon are better, the others are good or flawed

Good list.

I'd add:

Blood and Black Lace
Seconds
Cul-De-Sac
The Fearless Vampire Killers
The Swimmer
La Jetee
Faccia a Faccia
The Cremator
Le Trou

Please correct me if some of these are on the list and I missed them.

Eyes wide shut is better, and it's Stanley Kubrick's most underrated and misunderstood masterpiece. 2001 was a technical feet for it's time and can't be discounted though. The esoteria behind both Eyes wide shut and 2001 are both equally important for completely different reasons.

McQueen doesn't get 2001: A Space Odyssey. It's Christmas Theo, it's the time of miracles so we won't hold this against him.

2001 was made in the 60s. This movie still looks better than almost anything made since. I also had a feeling Dr. Strangelove would be number 1 on the main list too.

But yeah what a decade for movies. Solid list. Don't have much problem with any of it save I'd put Cool Hand Luke in the top 10 as well as Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, but that's more for sentiment than anything else. And those movies are greatness.

I need to see some of these movies on New Blood's list. Still have never seen 8 1/2...yeah I know, wtf is wrong with me.
