Favorite horror movie/movies

So I've been sitting around the house, having a little horror movie Marathon of my own, and the thought "hmm I wonder what the wonderful peoples of WF favorite horror movies are?"
Mine has to be the first Wrong Turn, and the A Nightmare on Elm Street movies

A Nightmare of Elm Street
Child's Play
Friday The 13th
Silence of the Lambs
The Shining

All originals. I could keep going, but I figured that people should get a general idea of my favorites from that list.

Re: Favorite horror movie/movies

Deep Red
Peeping Tom
The Shining
Nightmare on Elm Street
Witchfinder General
Woman in Black
Dark Water
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre
Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer
Black Christmas
The Innocents
Bride of Frankenstein
The Thing
The Birds

Edit: Great shout out for Don't Look Now. The ending perplexes me but the chilling atmosphere of that movie is off the charts.

Re: Favorite horror movie/movies

(except for the first two, no particular order)

The Exorcist

Halloween (original)

Dracula (Universal)

Frankenstein (Universal)

The Bride of Frankenstein (Universal)

Son of Frankenstein (Universal)

The Wolf Man

The Thing (Carpenter version)

Nightmare on Elm Street (original)

Silence of the Lambs (I have a hard time thinking of it as a horror movie. I see it as more of a crime drama/psychological thriller, but hey, other people are listing it so why not?)

House of Wax (Vincent Price version)

The Shining

The Horror of Dracula (Hammer)

The Curse of Frankenstein (Hammer)

The Mummy (Hammer)

Godzilla (original Japanese film)

King Kong (original)

Ghostbusters (fuck it, I'm counting it. "There is no Dana, Only Zuul" makes it at least part horror film, right?)

The Creature from the Black Lagoon

Wes Craven's New Nightmare

Night of the Living Dead (both versions)

Dawn of the Dead (both versions)
