Cena is fantastic too, but Punk is, in my estimation, No. 1 on the roster."

This weekend I saw

Snitch, 6/10, Story was good, but I couldn't take the rock's acting serious. He still has a lot of work to do as an actor.

then movie hoped to..

Dark Skies, 8/10, I personally enjoyed this movie cause of my fascination of aliens. But it's not close being one of the best alien movies out there.

The Season of the Witch (2011). One of my class mates recommended me to watch it and it was good enough. I would give it 7/10.

It was okay, though I couldn't help but roll my eyes several times. The whole film should have been subtitled. 5/10

I just re-watched De Palma's 'Blow Out' after I mentioned it in a discussion on another thread a while back. Still as good as the first time around, if not better. It's a very 'De Palma-esque' film and you can see his little subtleties all the way through, and the ending still holds up well. I'm glad they kept it that way.

This film was heavily influenced by Michelangelo Antonioni's art house film 'Blow Up' from 1966. That's also worth watching, although 'Blow Out' is probably more entertaining, Blow Up is paced better and is much more careful in building up the story.

Argh, I hate that film! I mentioned it on the 'worst movie seen in theaters' thread. Just blergh.

Stranger Than Fiction
Really great little film. Funny and touching with a really good idea behind it. Ferrell is really good in a pretty straight role. Definitely recommend it if you're looking for something light but also smart. 7.5/10

Great film. Bubz was it you that I recommended that to after you had watched 'Stay'? Or was that someone else?

Either way, if you enjoyed Ferrell in that film I'd recommend 'Everything Must Go'. He plays a similar-ish role (and excels again) and the film itself is very good.

Watched this just two weeks ago. Probably my favorite Will Ferrell performance, and Marc Forster's best movie after Stay.

Checked out 'This is 40' last night. Surprisingly witty comedy with mature themes throughout. Sorta reminded me Todd Solondz's Happiness at times with the controversial lines it crosses. Really good and the performances are excellent.

Yeah we had a discussion about it a few weeks ago, you're the one that recommended me Stranger than Fiction and I recommended you Stay lol
