Re: What was the last movie you watched?

Yeah, the Rated R version didn't add much to assist it either. Only a few "fuck"'s were put in. As a Spawn fan, that movie makes me wish the whole story of Spawn was shit. It would justify the film for being so atrocious. Unbearably bad.

The Santa Clause

8/10.

Took a step away from 2012 film watching for one of my favorite Holiday/Christmas films. It still gets me.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

Cocaine Cowboys

8.5/10, great doc. I feel like they could have cut out parts of Rivis interview at about the one hour mark, it dragged and dragged and only the two minutes were actually needed. I feel like Rivi was the low point throughout the movie, very rarely did he have something interesting to say (Miguel stabbing Paco is one of the exceptions and his story behind it). It was just "don't fuck with me" "don't fuck with me" "I'd kill anyone" "I killed anyone" etc. Mickey Munday and Jon Roberts interviews were great, and the soundtrack was really fucking good. I'd argue that was actually the highlight of the doc, it fit in perfectly with the film.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

Hulk Vs.

Vs Thor: 6.5/10. I'm never read the Thor comics and I never watched the movie (I really should sometime...) so the only characters I knew were Thor and Loki. I was pretty lost throughout the movie and I only figured out most of the characters names when the credits rolled. I liked the premise though, Loki controlling Hulk just to defeat Thor, then him losing control and Thor and Loki eventually having to team up the stop him. I liked Banner at the end as well, when he was "free" but then got transported to Hell and had to save Asgard. Basically, all of the scenes with Thor/Loki/Banner were good to great, everything else I either didn't know A. Who the people were or B. What was going on.

Vs Wolverine: 7.5/10. I knew everyone in the movie, but that might have actually hurt my enjoyment. The Weapon X backstory was really stupid, who doesn't know what happened to Wolverine at this point? Actually, I think Weapon X and all of the Weapon X villains (except Deadpool, he was one of the highlights) weren't needed. It took away from Hulk vs Wolverine, and made it Banner/Wolverine vs Weapon X, or Hulk vs Wolverine vs Weapon X, or Hulk/Wolverine vs Weapon X, or Wolverine vs Weapon X, etc. I'd say that the actual fighting between Hulk and Wolverine was less than 7 minutes long combined, which was a real shame because I loved the fighting scenes. at when Hulk and Deathstrike were screaming at each other and Hulk ripped her arms off, that was great. Steve Blum did a great job of voicing Wolverine as usual. It's just a shame that we got more of Wolverine vs Weapon X than we did Hulk vs Wolverine, and the Weapon X backstory wasn't needed.

Overall: 7/10. Maybe a Thor fan would have enjoyed the Vs. Thor fight than I did, and Vs. Wolverine was really well done besides Weapon X. It felt like 10 minutes of filler

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

Some popcorn flicks or blockbusters

Chronicle Movie of the year in this department, the camera seems alive for most of the movie. And there is a rupture on the topic of "the camera like an eye", for moments seems more a De Palma Or Argento movie than a Blockbuster in the Vein of Cloverfield. Impressive.

The Three Stooges In the begining this dosn't seem a material for the Farrellys and yet in some way they get out of this looking good, specially after the disapointment that Hall Pass was. Good

Dark Shadows Crap, just utter and complete crap. Burton doesn't even seems motivated to film his latest shit, the movie look horrible and fake, his obssession with the CGI is killing him. And with this he has been crap for at least 11 or 12 years, well at least since Sleepy Hollow. Sad

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

Jack Reacher - 7/10

Big fan of the book series but I probably would have liked this a lot more not having any expectations (and they were pretty big), in fact I think most people who follow the books will feel the same way but wouldn't be a problem for someone who has little or no knowledge of the character. It worked, despite feeling really "off" at points and Cruise wasn't quite as bad as I was suspecting but I still would have preferred someone else in the title role. Robert Duvall's character was a lot of fun for the 15 minutes he was in the movie though. Also (sorta spoiler) I thought it was a really bad idea to show the sniper's face at the beginning of the film, kinda ruined some of the plot.

Worth seeing if its something you think would interest you but its probably not going to blow you away or anything.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

Still in the theatre but I just saw Django. What an awesome movie, some parts were little tough since I'm black and what was being shown was crazy but man the movie was so funny and action packed. One of the best films I've seen this year. Samuel Jackson was amazing. Plus Christopher Waltz too. Loved him in Inglorious Bastards and now in this.
