Re: What was the last movie you watched?
Watched the rest of Shaolin Soccer, by Stephen Chow who did Kung-Fu Hustle. Not nearly as good as it had been made out to be by a friend of mine. It managed to discover new depths of silliness I didn't know existed, and I've seen Loaded Weapon 1.
The best thing about it was the criminally underused Bruce Lee goalkeeper. There's a handful of pretty good effects with the football playing, but ultimately, it's a collection of some really good ideas which are executed terribly.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?
Batman Forever (1995)
I did a Batman movie re-run so I was forced to watch this It had some ok moments (gorgeous Nicole Kidman and a few ok scenes) but that's it, villains were lame and the tone of the film was light, I'm not gonna bother watching Batman & Robin as it's a total piece of shit. Frickin batnipples ffs.
4/10

Ted
4.5/10
Touch & go. Humor would pop up in sporadic places. Felt too much like a live action version of modern Family Guy. Which means it stunk. After all my friends claimed this was funny I expected something good. Pfft. Oh, and they don't like Family Guy. Go friggin figure.

Made up for watching Ted prior. Awesome movie.

Glad you liked SNG!
Seems I'm in the minority who actually got a bit of enjoyment out of Ted. Dunno, guess a teddy bear being a dick to everyone kind of amuses me for some reason.

Another rewatching, Une Femme Est Une Femme from Godard. What is not to love?, is Godard making a musical/comedy with Belmondo and Karina in Technicolor, probably the most happy movie from him, is so lively. I love it

Re: What was the last movie you watched?
I thought that's what was going to be the selling point for me. The bear in real life being in all of those situations. It really did have too much of that Family Guy vibe to it which completely threw me off. I know Seth directed it and wrote it, but damn. Exact carbon copy. Only with a talking Teddy Bear & Mark Wahlberg. I only laughed hard on the parts where he was going to the job interview wearing the suit & his "I fucked her with a parsnip" line. Oh, and I did mark for the Flash Gordon + BOOGIE NIGHTS references.
Safety Not Guaranteed hooked me in. I was tired as hell, but I couldn't turn it off. I like to think that sums up how much I enjoyed it.

Yeah I enjoyed the Flash Gordon stuff. Also enjoyed Marky Mark having Empire Strikes Back theme music as his ringtone.
The end to SNG had me marking out so much .

Re: What was the last movie you watched?
I wasn't sure what to expect with the ending. The result was worthy.
