Dark Shadows looked so bad from the trailers. Agree with McQueen's statement. Burton and Depp can go fuck each others skulls for all I care.

Yep, terrible film. I remember when Burton was cool. That seems like a long time ago now.

Started watching Shaolin Soccer, though fell asleep halfway through cause it was well late. It's a lot sillier than I had been led to believe, but I haven't got to the proper football bit yet, where I assume the proper kung-fu shenanigans get going.

Only thing Burton's even done I liked was Batman '89 & Batman Returns. He can go fuck himself with his "weird for the sake of being quirky" films.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

Just say the last Resident Evil film, what a clusterfuck wrapped in a tin-foil plot..
I was OK with the first one since it was survival horror like the game, every other film in the series was just action with zombies, hot chicks who can't act and horrible plots. Fuck Paul W.S. Anderson, who is the idiot that keeps giving this guy money to make this shit?

Not to be harsh but the idiots like you who watch those movies. Maybe you didn't pay for it but as long as people watch them they'll keep making them.

The Dark Knight Rises

Something was just off about this movie, I think. It just doesn't compare to the previous two. I still enjoyed it, very much actually, but this seems kind of mailed in. There's a severe lack of character development w/ Hardy & Hathaway, and JGL's character was just fucking random. I dunno, I may be in the minority here (I'm sure I am), but Batman Begins is my favorite, followed by TDK and TDKR.

Would it be more fitting when I say "I liked Tim Burton before all the goth/emo kids did? IE a kid who marked for Nightmare Before Christmas".

I liked the movie regardless. If that's only b/c of the dames then so be it.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

I liked Sweeney Todd, Edward Scissorhands, Ed Wood, and the Batman films from Burton. The Nightmare Before Christmas is severely overrated, it's a decent animated film with a good score and that's it.

Premium Rush - It was my second time watching the film. Michael Shannon was great playing an over the top psychopath cop and JGL was enjoyable as always. Not worth multiple viewings, but a solid movie none the less.

7.5/10

You're not alone. I never got (and still don't get) the skeetfest over TDKR. It's good, but some people calling it not just the best of the trilogy, but movie of the year 3

Agreed with ranking.
