Jeff Bridges for Iron Man. Someone who was actually subtle and smug instead of blatant and over the top. Ledger's performance wasn't authentic, it was a desparate grab at an Oscar and one that he only got because he pissed away his life and turned his daughter into a young bastard due to his selfish junkie habits.
I'm pretty sure no one involved in making TDK had Oscar glory on their mind. If Ledger hadn't passed away he probably wouldn't have gotten nominated and most people would be complaining about it being one of the biggest snubs in Oscar history.
Don't understand your love for Bridges in Iron Man. Downey Jr. pretty much carried the entire movie.
