Re: Girl Meets World - a Boy Meets World sequel show
This could turn out very bad but I really like the idea even if it would be based around a teenage girl. Having Cory and Topanga star as the teenage girl's parents would be pretty interesting and the only really that I'm slightly interested in this happening, if it was some new no-name Disney actors on a show based on the original Boy Meets World then I'd have no interest and would not want it to happen.
If they do indeed get Ben Savage (Cory Matthews) and Danielle Fishel (Topanga Lawrence-Matthews) to star as the parents. Then I would love to see them get Will Friedle (Eric Matthews) to star/guest-star as Cory's wacky brother and the wacky Uncle to their teenage daughter. Surprising Will Friedle has stayed pretty busy since Boy Meets World with ALOT of voice roles in stuff like Green Lantern: The Animated Series, The Penguins of Madagascar, Ben 10: Alien Force, Lilo & Stitch: The Series, and lots of other random cartoons. I would also like to see Ryder Strong (Shawn Hunter) star/guest-star as still being Cory's best friend, last time I seen Rider Strong in something other than Boy Meets World was Cabin Fever but I guess they made a sequel Cabin Fever 2: Spring Fever along with that movie he has been in several other low-budget/straight-to-DVD movies or small appearances on random TV shows like: Veronica Mars, Castle, and Bones. BUT the one person that I would LOVE to see as a teacher to Cory & Topanga's daughter is Mr. FUCKING Feeny. I was surprised to see that dude is still alive, he is 85 but I would sure love to see him as some kind of teacher or principal on this new show.
Man, TGIF was my shit back in the day as a kid. I absolutely loved Boy Meets World, now when I look back... I can't believe that show lasted 7 seasons which was definitely a few seasons too much but I still enjoyed every episode and still enjoy watching the re-runs on MTV2 now-a-days.
