The original Taken was somewhat of a Sleeper hit, so in my eyes all of the people jumping all over number 2 are the ones who felt bad they missed out jumping on number one.

I don't understand people watching something they know they won't enjoy. Tonight, I won't be punching myself in the face because I don't want to punch myself in the face.

The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford is apparently an awesome movie, great reviews, but didn't make much of a dent at the box office.

I have been meaning to watch it some time this week. The reviews say the only problem with it is that it is too long (I believe it is 190 minutes).

Still want to watch it.

Not sure why what other people think about a movie should have any effect on if I should see a movie or not when I the purpose of movies is to forget about life for a couple hours.

I read reviews out of interest.

I never use them to determine whether I see a movie or not. I am just curious as to what people find 'wrong' with the movie.

I hate when people go by reviews. That shit is stupid. What other people find to be garbage, you might like.

I find this happens way more with video games. I know a few ignorant fucks who wont play a game because it got bad reviews but will declare how much they agree with the review...uhhh, try playing it first.

I prefer reviews by fans, and not professional reviewers to determine if it has a good chance or not. A lot of movies will get shit reviews because the person that has to review everything for their job simply doesn't like the genre, or doesn't "get" the style of movie.
