Re: The Walking Dead Season 3 discussion thread

The episode was slow, but i think it may have needed a filler that leaves more questions than answers.

Re: The Walking Dead Season 3 discussion thread

I am watching the deleted scenes of season 2 on youtube. Awesome stuff, fills some plotholes. It is not that long ago, but Rick looks so much younger imo.

I'll post the first scene in case anyone missed this gem like I did until now.

Re: The Walking Dead Season 3 discussion thread

Just watched the last two eps. Episode 4 was just brilliant. An amazing episode of television that was genuinely powerful. Lori and Carl's scene first and then Rick's reaction got right to me in a way no other tv episode has before. Incredible stuff, the best of the entire show and one of the better tv episodes I've seen...ever. Yeah, Lori was annoying, but I never hated her as a character, and her final scene was so redeeming and powerful that I completely forgot I never liked her before. Rick is an absolute badass, seriously, the guy is a complete boss. Andrew Lincoln hit it out of the park in this episode.

Episode 5 was good, just because it was slower than the rest of the season does not make it a bad episode. You can't expect every episode to be like that. It's a ridiculous way of thinking going into a tv show. The phone ringing was an awesome cliffhanger. Also, I really don't think that zombie ate Lori at all, I don't know what happened, but I don't think it ate her whole.

Also, I don;t get the love for Carl. The character's still annoying, and after Andrea is easily the most irritating character on the show. The kid just annoys me with his stupid hat and his face. Can't stand that kid, even though his scene in the previous episode was so great. I like the character's story right now, but fuck he annoys me.

The only complaint I have with this show so far is that I don't care for Andrea or Michonne, but The Governor is awesome so that makes up for it.

Re: The Walking Dead Season 3 discussion thread

Another OK episode. The story is progressing well enough. Having 16 episodes means that we will get a lot more filler stuff this season but it does help to flesh out the characters.

Michonne being a badass with the sword was the highlight of the show this week for me.

Spoiler for :
I was kind of hoping that they would cut out the phone part from the comics. Didn't like it in the comics all that much and I'm not sure if I'll like it on the show. There has to be a better way to show that Lori's death causes Rick to lose it a bit.

Don't understand why the Governor is wasting his time with Andrea right now. I loved the character because he didn't really give a fuck what Rick and company thought of him. He wanted something from them and he was direct in the way he went about to get it. Andrea doesn't have anything to offer him at this point so him paying so much attention to her doesn't make sense.

With that said, the season is only 5 episodes in so I'm hoping the writers have a purpose to all this.

Well whatever is gonna happen this season is still better than farm life documentary that was filmed last season.

Re: The Walking Dead Season 3 discussion thread

I have a hard time believing that Lori was CONSUMED like that. We haven't ever seen walkers eat bones and such before, unless it was maybe a hand or something? Aside from the mass issues (like, where did that fat zombie manage to fit all of another person roughly his size?), eating a spine or skull likely is impossible without breaking all your damn teeth and/or jaw from the pressure required. Not to mention the fact that there's no meat in an awful lot of body, why consume it all?

If that's what happened, it's sloppy fucking writing. Wouldn't a discretion shot of *most* of her body with some limbs missing work better?

Call Kenny Loggins. Cause you're in the Danger Zone.

Re: The Walking Dead Season 3 discussion thread

Not to mention the fact that the writers seem to be intentionally ignoring Carol as we have no idea what happened to her. She could've found Lori and stitched her. You might say "But Lori was cut open, noone could survive that" my reply to you is "Even more illogical things have happened on TV".

Re: The Walking Dead Season 3 discussion thread

Slow and boring part, it's like the writers braked too fast after that awesome previous episode.
The Zombi possibly eating Lori is something that makes the whole part 100% stupid, if she was really completely eaten then is facepalm worthy (zombi doesn't do that, other than that a human belly isn't enough for a whole human body with bones, his stomach should have been ripped off by itself), if she survived it's still stupid and without any logical sense.
Carol disappearing is another possible stupid outcome, but I wait to judge.
Michonne is a stereotype and nothing else for now, I like the actress but I can't understand why the character is so much loved.
Rick's rage is over the top to say the least, I know it's terrible to lose a loved one this way but... Oh well I never lived during a zombi holocaust so I can't judge that.

Best part of the episode was Daryl with the baby, so sweet ^^

It's not over the top. The man has spent months as the leader of the group worrying every day and every night about the group's safety + lori and the baby and Carl. I'd probably lose my mind after a month...
