^^ you guys are bad. s2 was far better than s1  (with the exception of the pilot which was legit brillaint, the other 5 episodes were hardly excellent, thought s2 did a much better job)

Season 2 had Hershel & Dale and that easily surpasses the season 1 highlight of just having Dale.
Plus Shane finally died, that fucking cunt. Hopefully Lori dies soon too. S2 > S1 overall. Agree with Faraday's assessment that the pilot episode was the best thing in the show so far.

I liked Season 2 over Season 1 as well. Lots of character development during season 2. As for season 3, from the little I saw it seems interesting. I am a casual viewer by the way, so I have not read about the prison.

Zombie Shane is dead as well.
It's a shame too, as Shane was my favorite character on the show. It looks like they're going to turn Rick into "Shane-Lite" from what I saw at the end of Season 2, so it should be good.
Actually, it wouldn't shock me if Rick became what Shane was in season 2 by the end of the series. I haven't read the comics so I don't know if that is what happens or not though.

I read Michael Rooker was part of the main cast for S3 and I wasn't even hunting for spoilers, so I'd assume they'll reveal him quite early as they don't seem to have tried very hard to hide it.

Think I might rewatch seasons 1 and 2 again since every episode is on Netflix. Never read the comics so dont know any of the new characters being introduced. Excited though
