Yeah, there is no real world way Deb isn't tied to Laguerta's murder. Fortunately, or unfortunately, however you want to view it, Dexter is not based on the real world.
Dexter KO'ing Estrada in broad daylight around children and everyone to see. Estrada not going to the cops is hilariously bad too. I'm forgiving though. I've stuck with this show since day 1 and I just have to deal with how ridiculous it can be.
@ Stacks, if it does play out like that and it probably will, obviously Dexter has to get his sister's back. He's gonna be killing a lot of "good guys" next season it seems if it goes that way.
only the ladder is real. the climb is all there is.

Re: Dexter Season 7 (spoilers)
having Doakes chasing Dexter around much longer wouldn't have really worked. would've just made Doakes look stupid for not being able to prove Dexter is a killer or Doakes would've had to catch him because he was too good/smart not to. I guess they could've stretched it out another season before it felt contrived. althouh framing Doakes as the BHB was actually a good way to close out that season. there was really no way too keep that storyline going for 5-7 seasons.
If anything,Dex will just retrieve the bullet himself. I see that as a possibility

You can't claim to watch the series since day 1 and not know a thing about the show. Doakes was never a "good" cop, infact he broke several laws including stalking Dexter, breaking into his apartment, stealing Dex's blood slides etc. He was hardly a good cop

I don't think they would have made him chase Dexter every season, just like how Quinn was suspicious for a while but itsn't anymore. They probably would have made Doakes lay off Dexter for a while then his suspicioins resurface later. But that's just what I think.
Oh man, Deb crying is usually a little awkward, but this time, I don't know,
it was some intense shit, really good.
The bullet thing is too obvious to just not mention it or look after it,
I think they gonna show us a little crime scene tutorial next time how they managed
to let it look "normal". But we'll see.
