Poor Isaak. I wanted him to generally survive. Such a great guy. What did he do wrong? Except putting a gun and a good idea in some moron bartenders hand and ear.
Hopefully, we'll have Isaaks twin brother Roman Legionaire Pullo wanting to revenge his brothers death... *yay!*

The arsonist will imo be a decoy for LaGuerta. Dexter can put Travis' death on him, since he too is part of law enforcement (like the Bay Harbour Butcher). I bet this will set LaGuerta back until the season finale, while Dexter deals with the Ukrainian mafia story (Quinn & Isaaks killer). But I doubt, LaGuerta will really give up and we probably gonna have Maria vs. Dexter in season 8.

at least they brought back the old chief of police or w.e blanking on his name. LaGuerta alone would be pretty lackluster for the last season. i wonder how much the guy knows/suspects dex. he was pretty tight with Harry. Dexter killing him could make for some interesting scenes with Dexter and ghost Harry.

They give the episode tons of Ray Stevenson and low and behold the show was really good (for one episode at least). Ray Stevenson bossed this season and especially this episode. Felt like it was a fitting finale with Isaac dying, Quinn digging a massive hole for his body, Dexter and his feelings for Hannah when she almost died and LaGuerta making bigger tracks. Finale will probably be weak unless something big happens. Probably something with Hannah rather than LaGuerta. or CYBER DOAKES.

Thought it was odd how one moment they made it seem like Hannah was dead and the next Hannah scene she's in the hospital saying she's out of there in the morning. May as well have put her in intensive care for an episode to give the last scene some more meaning with Dex opening up to her.

Dexter killing that Ukranian hitman at the firing range was extremely lolwut. Hannah killing Isaac's guy wasn't far behind. That Ukranian Mob can't be very good if they were 2 of their best guys. Head Lackey trying to be relevant is amusing.

That guy at the arson scenes got too much exposure for an extra....

I wish they came up with more creative kills for Dexter. This season has been terrible in that regard. Except for that cremation kill they have all been bad. Killing someone at a firing range with people only a few feet away makes no sense for a veteran like Dexter.

Much better episode than last week.
Enjoyed it. Especially the Isaac stuff. Man.. that really was touching. D:
I don't care about Quinn but I marked a litte, when he was beating the hell out of this bastard.
Gotta admit the firing range scene was really kind of... well, let me put it in words.... incongruous.
LaGuerta, I'm looking forward to your discoveries.

Well. He didn't have time. Personally I'd give the writers a pass on the basic idea. However, they should've at least addressed the immensely high risk factor and all the other problems, when Dexter deviates from his "smart" ways.

This has been generally annoying to me for the last few seasons. Since season 4 Dexter has become extremely sloppy with his code and his kills.

Also... killing the 2 professionals needed far too little effort by Dex/Isaaks. It kinda kills Isaaks reputation, that he pissed his pants because of them. Isaaks lackey on the other hand was never hyped as a dangerous man. Still, they should've had him survive. Him dieing too was a bit too convenient. Besides, isn't it weird, that Dexter helps Isaak to save Hannah. But when Isaak is close to dieing, they don't even try to call Jörg (?) to set Hannah free.

Am I the only one who likes the new arson storyline? Sure, its random as hell and subtle as a sledgehammer, but its been so long since Dexter had really good episodic bad guys.

As for the firing range scene... whatever, I don't really mind. If he can kill someone in an airport and nobody notices, he's clearly a wizard. I'd like to see the completely jump the shark on it though and just come up with the most ridiculous kills possible (like killing someone in a bathroom stall at half time in a football match).

Isaac dying off sucks, especially to such a pissant character (reminds me of Kenard from The Wire ). They really need to be less predictable with their bad guys, a bad guy coming back for a second season would be a good change.
