Season 6 was a pretty good Post Season 4 imo. It had a challenging villain and the religious theme fit nicely. Plus, an awesome finale. Way better than Season 5 and so far, Season 7 isn't living up to Season 6. It's only been 3 episodes though. 9 more to go so things can still pick up.

Wow, you actually liked it?
In my opinion, it was only narrowly a step up from season 5.
The twist of Geller being dead the whole time was actually pretty obvious from about 3 or 4 episodes in.
The only thing I would say I liked about the season was that DDK's murders were pretty unique, and the last few seconds when Deb walked in on Dex killing him.
Season 7, so far, has been better in my opinion.
