If not, it's someone on the outside that they will write in(or maybe unconscious, I guess). He was the ranking officer on the scene afterwards. He also has a lot of power being the go-to guy with the president in a crisis.
Something that's bugging me tho, is why would they think Brody set off the bomb? SURELY they have video footage of the parking lot and right in front of the building(and maybe a redundant backup), and that wouldn't be stored within blast radius.

Re: Homeland Season 2
Yeah writers that write these shows need to be more aware that shit is taped pretty much everywhere these days.
But yeah, I'm under the impression that this is possibly an inside job, a sort of 9/11 conspiracy theory deal. DAR DAL (I'm mainly hoping F. Murray Abraham is the next antagonist)

I'm sure it'll carry through to next season after the finale. I had forgot about it though. I thought the Dana/Finn stuff would tie into the overall plot more than it did. I didn't hate it as much as some others seemed to but they couldn't have got to the same point with Dana's character through a much better and less dragging route.

It's almost surely a frame job from some inside party so evidence will get screwed with. Or maybe the blast wiped it out. I dunno. Hopefully Dar Dal does have something to do with it. He'll probably be involved more next season anyway. Otherwise why introduce him as an on screen character for just one scene?
I'm confident it'll pack back up again next season after the last half of the finale. Homeland's at its best when you don't know where the threat is coming from and you don't know who's good and who's bad. They've got that premise back now with the attack whereas the last few episodes were too clearly focused on Nazir being the bad guy and being caught.

eh brody's a 'confirmed' terrorist now, not sure how much they can follow it up.

Carrie will spend a few episodes clearing his name. Sadly, we won't get to see her say something like, "That video is a fake, I can tell, because I've seen plenty of fakes in my day, and the pixels are all wrong and the color is off."
They basically *have* to clear him tho, otherwise using him for a main POV character off in Canada somewhere wouldn't make for good TV.

Re: Homeland Season 2
I suspect we will only see Brody for a few episodes, just to see what he is doing living by himself. he can't really do very much that is interesting just hiding out.

They'll find him after a few episodes so he can be the focus again.

Re: Homeland Season 2
Or he will be somehow 'on the run' during the first few episodes, so they can somehow justify filming him doing boring shit like hanging out in Canadian woods. And then magically Carrie will be able to find him within a day after she clears his name.
Which reminds me, how in the world did she get back to Langley so fast after dropping Brody off at the border?
Something else that slipped my mind until now. They went to that super secret passport maker guy, but they couldn't swing by Target for a box of hair dye? That red top will blend in easy, right?
