Re: The Avengers is now out on DVD/BD...perfect excuse to talk about this awesome fil
Picked up a blu ray copy today, can't wait to watch it again, my favourite movie of this year without a doubt. Great characters, awesome dialogue, some brilliant action scenes. Everything I wanted it to be and more
In terms of TDKR/Avengers debate; I loved TDKR (not as much as TDK) but for me Avengers was the overall better film, I came out of it having enjoyed it a hell of a lot more. That's not saying TDKR was bad in any way because it was awesome but for me it was just missing something

The Avengers theatrical run is officially over.
Quote:
After 154 days of release in North America, the Joss Whedon-directed superhero epic The Avengers, has ended its theatrical run.
The Avengers has officially ended the theatrical run in US theatres. And what a run it was. The film opened on May 4th, and went on to break the opening weekend record with a shocking $207 million, as well as becoming the biggest film of the year, so far. The Joss Whedon-helmed superhero team up of a lifetime is also the third highest-grossing film ever, making over $1.5 billion worldwide. The only two films that are ahead of The Avengers, are James Cameron's Avatar and Titanic. Many would think that now The Avengers have finally assembled, this is the end. Of course, we know that this was the ending of Phase One, but also the beginning of Phase Two, which starts next year with Shane Black's Iron Man 3.

Thought it was good for a superhero movie, but overall it wasn't really that great. Scenes with Mark Ruffalo and Robert Downey Jr. were the only interesting/good bits.

Please tell me someone didn't actually say that. Unless by Star Wars, they mean Phantom Menace.

Did anybody else have a Silence Of The Lambs vibe during the interrogation scene?

The guy's overrated as fuck. I hope Marvel keeps up the trend and recasts Bruce Banner again in the next Hulk-related film!

Ruffalo is great, and you better get used to him. Best casting choice in the movie other than Downey Jr. playing Tony Stark.

How is Mark Ruffalo overrated when people barely know/knew who he is?
