The Avengers was a film I didn't exect much from but imo it turned out good. No need for big stories as it's a comic movie. I loved everypart of it. The only thing I didn;t like was Hawkeye not having a mask. But still a good movie imo.

Beacuse someone mentioned The Dark Knight rises:

The Dark knight rises was quite disappointing. First half was great but after that it went downhill fast.

The previous Batman movies delivered great acting and story but this the dark knight rises was just full of clichés and too fast high tech scenes with a story that had too many flaws imo. No offense to Bale and Tom hardy who both did great. The ending was so anti-climax with Bane being killed by that awfull catwoman impersonation and that daughter of ra's al ghul that suddenly becomes the topvillain. Very anti-climax.

What I didn't like:

- Iron Man being the focus of the film instead of Captain America, who is supposed the leader of the freaking team! Its Wolverine overshadowing Cyclops all over again.

- Captain America's original scene being cut out. WHY?!!

- The way Thor came back. Kind of half-assed if you asked me.

- What happened to Agent Coulson, but I understood why it had to be done since the character fulfilled his purpose in the franchise.

- Loki being the main villain again. The Red Skull should've at least teamed up with him or something so the film wouldn't have felt like Thor 2.

- Mark Ruffalo. He was mediocre at best. I gave him a second chance and my Norton > Bana > Ruffalo point still stands.

- The cliffhanger scene should've been shown after the credits instead of the lame shawarma scene.

I totally agree. I never cared very much for he whole asgardian villains. I started liking the thor more because of the latest animated series and I didn't think he was bad in this movie.

As for the ultimate villains for the Avengers i would like to see Baron Zemo, Von Strucker, Serpent Society and rest of HYDRA and AIM.

i like red skull because he makes hitler seem nice in comparison

if you want to read more about Marvel™ character Red Skull™, pick up Uncanny Avengers™ where he will battle the Uncanny Avengers™ as he tries to exterminate mutants for some reason. written by legendary architect™ Rick Rememder as a part of MARVEL NOW™

Couldn't sleep last Tuesday. Got up around 3:30 am, took the dog for a walk, went to Walmart. . . purchased "The Avengers." Watched it every night from Tuesday to Monday.

Thing about it, one could watch this movie over and over again, and it is still enjoyable. As much as I liked "Dark Knight Rises," I think if I watched it that much, it would start to damage my calm.

I'll throw my hat into the Avengers/Dark Knight Rises debate. I liked the Avengers more. DKR was good. Real good. I really liked it, BUT there were a LOT of holes that didn't quite add up which dragged the film down for me (I especially had major problems with the ending). I can't go into them without going into spoilers, but off the top of my head there were only one or two things in the Avengers that bugged me while DKR had more than a handful. The Avengers was also exactly what I wanted out of it and delivered on all my expectations and then some. DKR unfortunately had to come after The Dark Knight, which is my favorite comic book film of all time and I don't think Rises quite lived up to it.
I'd have to agree with this. It's not even a case where you have to degrade one over the other, I enjoyed TDKR immensely but I think the Avengers was that half notch higher on the ladder.

Now if we're comparing main villains? Bane > Loki No fucking question.
