Comics and Graphic Novels Vol. 2
![]() Hello True Believers! Welcome to the Comics and Graphic Novels Discussion (or CAGN for short). Like the DC reboot, editorial here at Wrestlingforum has informed me that the old thread had to be rebooted. So here it is, Volume 2. Don't worry, we won't hire Rob Liefeld to do any writing or art! Who needs him when Jim Lee is able to turn in a single completed page every 3 months. Going forward conversations will vary and discussions will focus on past, present, and future. Talk about whatever you are reading, comics that freaking rule, comics that suck so hard, comic book movies, comic book TV shows, your favorite writers/artists or how hott Power Girl is. But please refer to this first post for all resources needed in enjoying comics. Have any recommendations for comics or graphic novels, let us know and we'll add it to the ongoing recommendations and resources list. Re: Comics and Graphic Novels Vol. 2
RIP Graphic Novels and Comics Vol. 1
Been working on this for over 4 hours. Kind of burnt out at the moment (it's almost 3 a.m.). So please help me finish this! What are some other recommendations I need to put under each character (or should there be some more character groups?) or group. Also, if you know of any good comic book resources, let me know. Also Redead, read We3. |
Re: Comics and Graphic Novels Vol. 2
Surprised that Planetary is nowhere on that list Seph. I am glad to see that someone else reads the Locke & Key series tho.

Re: Comics and Graphic Novels Vol. 2
I soooo want to get into comics, I have tried. I need a buddy who will suggest his preferences on a personal level and go from there.
As I don't know anybody who read comic books, for me it's like jumping into a swimming pool filled with comics and graphic novels. I will do my best to keep up with this thread and attempt to start somewhere, now this thread is new :) |
Re: Comics and Graphic Novels Vol. 2
At the moment the only books I read are Green Lantern, Batman and The Walking Dead. I've got a few spin-offs from the Final Crisis saga, but nothing else.

Re: Comics and Graphic Novels Vol. 2
Damn it, I don't think I can vote. I love Batman & Green Lantern (DC), Spider Man, Thanos, & Iron Man (Marvel), & Spawn (Image). All and all, I'm more of a Manga person though. Dark Schneider>>>>every comic book character.

I would go for graphic novels instead of single issues. Much easier for someone who's new IMO. Just pick a character or such you like, and just pick up a character or two you like and go from their. My post is probably a jumbled mess, but just post some characters you like and someone more experienced can help more. |
